UTM Co-ordinates

The UTM coordinates express your position in X-Y coordinates in

decimal notation. Below, the UTM Zone is displayed.

The UTM zone is a specific section of the Earth’s surface. As this

section is quite small, the values can be expressed in Cartesian

coordinates. The X coordinate expresses the position to the right

while the Y coordinate expresses the position upwards.

When using UTM coordinates, you always need to

indicate the UTM zone in order to obtain a unique

reference.
